tGard is an entirely modular and cost-competitive way of
machine protection.
This compact access and control system makes it possible to merge any combination of mechanical key locks, electric safety locks, push buttons and selector switches into a single robust configuration.
tGard offers total electromechanical safety solutions suitable for usage in SIL2 (EN/IEC 62061), Category 3 (EN 954-1) and PLd (EN/ISO 13849-1) applications. TGard is certified by TüV SUD.
With more than 4 million configurations, it is easy to supply a standard customer-specific solution for every access and control application.
Entirely modular structure
Determine your own configuration and choose from more than 50 different modules. Each tGard safety switch is only 40mm wide and is completely made of powder-coated aluminium with 316 stainless steel contact parts.
From a simple safety switch up to a complete Door-gate-box with lock, entry request, reset, safety key and internal release.
Safety keys
Use our coded safety keys to prevent entrapment or for the granting of authorised access. In addition, tGard can also be configured as a mechanical interlock.
With more than 5000 unique codings and 10 different master series, tGard key locks can be used as a coded safety switch in accordance with EN14119.
Plug connection or wiring
tGard safety switches are available with 6 different plug connections (quick disconnectors) or with a wiring terminal, enabling you to easily make use of your own cable through the use of a swivel.
All tGard configurations are sealed to IP65.
Gatex box & control station
tGard can also be configured as a gate box in an ergonomic 40mm wide casing with a single plug connection.
In addition, all push buttons and status LEDs can be provided with a laser engraving for identification purposes.
Developed for and by engineers
The 360° rotatable INOX head makes it possible to use tGard on all door and hatch types.
With a locking force of 2,500N, tGard safety interlocks are ideal for securing machines with a run-down time.

amGard Pro is a modular safety door switch range, made out of steel. That consists of switches and locks and is applicable to heavy-duty applications.
The modular structure makes it possible to easily design configurations yourself. amGard Pro offers total electromechanical safety solutions suitable for usage in SIL3 (EN/IEC 62061), Category 4 (EN 954-1) and PLe (EN/ISO 13849-1) applications. This product range is certified by TüV SUD.

Use safety keys to prevent the hazard of entrapment. amGard pro also offers the possibility for a EK key adapter with mandatory key removal for additional safety.
The CL locking mechanism in the amGard pro product group has more than 200,000 unique codings and 3,000 different master series. In addition, the keycodes are stored per end user and provided with a engraving.
Integrate push buttons and an emergency stop
amGard Pro makes it possible to integrate access request, reset and emergency stop directly into your safety switch.
Choose from more than 50 different control buttons and emergency stops and have them designed with a permanent laser engraving.
Internal release in one single action
The EI door handle makes it possible to, in one action, unlock the amGard Pro safety lock directly from the inside.
The full metal door handle is able to resist 10,000N tensile force and has a very large alignment tolerance of +/- 12mm.
Profinet communication module
amGard pro is also available with a ProfiNet communication module. Here, the safety switch safely communicates via PNIO (ProfiNet Input Output). In addition, the following ProfiNet functions are supported:
- Complies with PROFINET IO Conformance class B with support for the following mibs: LLDP and MIB-II
- LLDP is supported (Topologi scan)
- MRP is supported on selected configurations
Ethernet/IP communication module
The Ethernet / IP communication module offers the possibility to turn an amGard Pro safety switch into a distributed IO (input-output) on an Ethernet / IP Network. Safety information gets exchanged via the CIP Safety extension.

amGard pro is able to resist more than 10,000N tensile force in combination with a large alignment tolerance. The modular structure also ensures that, in case of a defect, only one single module needs to be replaced.
Easy installation
Use the amGard pro mounting brackets for quick and easy installation of the safety switches on your fencing.
Apart from the standard mounting brackets, also assembly sets for Troax and Axelent shielding are directly available from stock.
FRANK Access Control
Unauthorised access to production areas may lead to unnecessary standstill. With FRANK only previously authorised employees will have access to the installation, where already existing ID cards can simply be used.
The FRANK RFID module can easily be added to all amGard configurations with ProfiNet or Ethernet IP. Access can easily be managed through the FRANK controller.

amGard S40 modular safety switches are manufactured entirely from INOX 316 and suitable for extreme conditions.
The 40 mm casing perfectly fits on the uprights of almost all common guards and can be expanded by use of push buttons, key adapters and an internal release.
The modular structure makes it possible for you to easily compile configurations. amGard S40 offers total electromechanical safety solutions, suitable for usage in SIL3 (EN/IEC 62061), Category 4 (EN 954-1) and PLe (EN/ISO 13849-1) applications.

Prevent entrapment
The safety keys and locks in the amGard S40 product group are made entirely from 316 stainless steel.
The CLS locking mechanism in the amGard S40 product group has more than 200,000 unique codings and 3,000 different master series. In addition, the keycodes are stored per end user and provided with an engraving.
Ergonomic door handle
The INOX 316 HS door handle is ideal for hinged doors and offers a large alignment tolerance of +/- 12 mm.
amGard S40 safe door switches can be equipped with a variety of actuators, including a sliding bolt, fixed operating tongue or a door handle.
All amGard S40 configurations can resist a tensile force of more than 10,000 N.
IP69K safety switch
amGard S40 is designed for usage in the food industry, extreme (corrosive) conditions and for outdoor use.
All electric components of amGard S40, such as the safety switch, magnetic coil and push buttons are sealed to IP69K.
Atom

The ATOM lockable safety switches is resistant up to no less than 7,500 N tensile force and has a very large alignment tolerance of 7.5mm in every direction.
The casing is robust and manufactured entirely from steel with INOX 316 contact areas.
This very compact safety switch is provided with OSSD contacts and offers a choice between a M12 5 pin or a 8 pin plug connection, the ATOM is suitable for usage in and ISO 13849-1, Category 4, PLe (SIL3) applications and is 3rd party approved door TÜV SUD.

7500N tensile force
The conical-shaped INOX 316 actuator can resist a tensile force of 7,500 N with an alignment tolerance of 7.5mm in every direction.
The open design of the INOX head ensures trouble-free functioning in dusty, gritty and corrosive environments.
Status LED
By using a multi-color LED on the bottom, the status of the safety switch can be easily read.
- red: door locked
- yellow: door unlocked (but closed)
- green: door open
High-coded
By providing the ATOM with a high coded RFID safety switch, it can be used as a high coded interlock in accordance with EN14119.
For every type of door
Atom safety interlocks are available with 4 different operating tongues, making the switch suitable for mounting on any type of door, including sliding doors and hinged doors with a small radius.
OSSD contacts
The ATOM safety switch is fitted with OSSD contacts and 2 pieces M12 5 pin plug connections, as a result of which the switches can easily be connected in daisy-chain without loss of the safety function.
Padlock lockable
When the Atom safety switch is mounted sideways, it is possible to attach a padlock through the head to prevent entrapment. During, for example, maintenance.

Lockout stations or padlock stations are used for the organised and clear storing of lockout-tagout materials.
By placing the lockout station at the relevant installation and providing it with the necessary materials to secure this installation, the LOTO procedure becomes clearer and safer.

EX safety switches
Steute has a large range of actuated safety switches for extreme conditions.
In addition to safety switches for explosion-proof (Ex) applications, there are also switches that are resistant to extreme temperatures and wet environments.
Dust and gas explosions
The Extreme products from Steute are designed for use in industries and zones where there is a risk of gas and dust explosions. Such as in chemical processes and in fertilizer and animal feed products.
Steel or composite housing
Both the lockable and non-lockable safety switches are available in a composite or a metal casing.
