Inxpect radar safety system for zone monitoring in harsh conditions.

The Italian manufacturer Inxpect S.p.A. has marketed the world’s first radar protection for machine safety applications. The advantage of radar technology relative to laser scanners and light screens is the insensitivity to dust, dirt, rain, light, sparks or vibrations.

The LBK-system consists of a controller and max. 6 sensors to be placed in daisy chain, in which case in the sensors are simply connected by means of 5 pin M12 plugs. Depending on the size of the area to be guarded, for each sensor a wide or narrow protected area can be set: the wide protected space has a detection angle of 110° horizontally and 30° vertically, whereas the small protected space has a detection angle of 50° horizontally and 15° vertically.

The LBK radar protection is suitable for usage in PLd, SIL2 and Category 2 applications and can easily be programmed by means of the included user-friendly software.

• Range of the sensor: 4m.

• Max. protected zone area (in case of 6 sensors): 15 x 4m.
